Do you know me?

Yes, I know...I haven't been here in a while. And, I must confess, I can't even plead business.

Nope, my life has been so monotonous that there really is nothing new to talk about.

Today is just a wee bit different, in that it's the first day of school for my son. Okay, his first day of junior high. Yep, seventh grade. I've been a little depressed about that...my only child is growing up. Well, as my ex-wife said, "grow up and deal with it".

I'll deal with it...and I'm grown up...that doesn't mean I have to like it.

He's also doing something I never ventured...he is trying out for football. His first year playing. He'll be on the offensive line, mostly at left guard. Of course, since it's his first year playing, he's third string...which means not much playing time. However, I'm proud of him for trying it.

Not much else happening. Planning a trip to Vegas, either next month or October. Alone. It should be fun...at least I have to make it fun, since I'll be by myself. I've never taken a vacation solo before, so this will be a bit of an adventure.
