Customer Support

Thanks to Blogger Support, which was quick and efficient in solving my posting problems from earlier this week. Now you all can see what I'm typing (and so can I)!!!

Well, kids...this is it...the weekend we scrub the floors, dust the tops of the picture frames, give the fish a bath, and...DECK THE HALLS!!!!

Yep, I'm puttin' up the decorations this weekend!!!

Just so you understand, I want to enjoy the holiday feeling while it's here...and time moves too quickly, so this way I'm stretching it out a bit!

I must be off...gotta go "don my gay apparel"!

Maybe I spoke in haste?

If so, now would be an opportune time go back, correct my error, and look forward to Thanksgiving.

Some of the thinks I could be thankful for today:

1) My current bout with an intestinal bug.
2) The rising cost of heating my home.
3) That I've been dateless for over a year (and the little foray into Chile doesn't count as a date). 4) My growing fear of leaving the safe confines of my house.

Then again, maybe I should look at things differently:

1) An intestinal bug isn't cancer, HIV, or a heart condition...so that's not so bad.
2) At least I have a home, unlike an employee of mine, who lost their home in an Evansville area tornado this weekend.
3) I will not settle for just anyone, given my current state of emotions...and this is a good thing.
4) At least my home is a haven in which I continue to foster and strengthen the most important relationship I have, that being with my son.

Okay...NOW I can look forward to Christmas!

Hello, Andy Williams

Yes, it's November 1st. And yes, my thoughts are on Andy Williams.

Who is Andy Williams? A singer of ages past. And why am I thinking about Andy Williams?

Because..."it's the most wonderful time of the year"!

For those of you who still don't understand, think of the Staples commercial.

For those of you who understand, November 1st is a milestone since it's the day after Halloween. And, since Thanksgiving doesn't really have its own "holiday music", Time Warner's "Sounds of the Season" channel began playing Christmas music today.

Unlike most of you who are pulling at their hair and screaming "NOOOOOOOOO", I'm excited. Heck, I was ready to put up my decorations last weekend. The only reason I didn't is because my son wants to help me this weekend.

Until later, "be of good cheer"!
